Curriculum Spring 2020

January
(Topics for the month: Purple, rectangle, #6)
7-9 Letter N. This week we are going to talk about the New Year and learn about the Chinese New Year calendar and what animal each year symbolizes.
14-16 Letter O. This week we are going to learn about owls.
21-23 This week we will learn about Martin Luther King Jr. and other American heroes.
28-30 Letter P. We will discuss all things P, like puzzles, pigs, popcorn, pancakes, pizza...On Thursday students are invited to wear their pajamas!

February
(Topics for the month: Pink, heart, #7)
4-6 Letter Q. We will discuss quilts and quails.
11-13 This week we will discuss Arizona's birthday and have a Valentines performance!
The performance will be on February 13th at 12:30 pm family and friends are invited to attend.
18-19 This week we will discuss the Tucson rodeo tradition. There is NO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY
25-27 Letter R. This week we will discuss rockets. We will even launch some water rockets!

March
Topics for the month: Green, octagon, #8)
3-5 Letter S. We will discuss snakes.
10-12 We will discuss different cultures around the world and talk about St. Patrick's day on Thursday.
17-19 NO SCHOOL SPRING BREAK
24-26 Letter T. We will learn about tigers, roar!
31-2 Letter U. We will discuss the mythical creature unicorn.

April
7-9 Letter V. This week we will learn about volcanoes and erupt ones that we will make!
14-16 Letter W. We will discuss whales.
21-23 Letter X.  X marks the spot for pirates, argggg!
28-30 Letter Y. This week we will learn about yoyo's,

May
5-7 Letter Z. This week we will discuss zebras and zoos.
12th Review day. We will see how much we have learned!
13th Water day! Please bring a towel, water shoes, wear sunscreens and have your child wear a swim suit or water clothes. We will get wet and possibly muddy :)
14th Field Trip, details to come!
19th Last school day
20th End of the year performance 6:30 pm family and friends invited to the performance. There will be NO class that morning.
